Austria Ski Season with a Baby: St Anton Cafe Review, Sonnegg

As part of writing about my ski season in Austria with a baby, I will review cafes and restaurants in St Anton am Arlberg. Which are baby-friendly? Do they have space for a pram or buggy? Is it quiet? Is there space for crawlers to clamber around? Are there changing facilities (ha ha)? In this fourth St Anton cafe review, Sonnegg will be considered from the baby’s viewpoint…

Taking a Baby to the NFL Games in London

Daddy is a big NFL (American Football) fan, so having a baby was not going to prevent him going to the games in London. I would not even consider taking a baby to most sporting events, but NFL games are pretty family-friendly. In 2016, three games were held in London, two at Wembley Stadium and one at Twickenham Stadium. The games are usually held in September and October. Here are my tips for taking a baby to the NFL games in London.

A Day in the Life of a Ski Season with Baby

You might be under the impression that ski resort seasonnaires are all eighteen year old gap year students. And, to be fair, there are quite a few of those. So why on earth would you want to take a baby somewhere people work 48 hour weeks for minimum wage, ski hard and party even harder? This post aims to shatter some of those illusions by describing a day in the life of a ski season with Baby (Daisy). Scratch under the surface and you will find a huge diversity of people based in a ski resort. Including idiots with babies.

parkrun Tourism In London With A Baby

If you haven’t heard of parkrun, they organise free weekly timed runs all over the world. This is my first guide to parkrun tourism in London with a baby. The parkruns are held in scenic locations on weekend mornings, organised by volunteers. The runs are open to all. And they really mean that; they are very inclusive and friendly. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are. It really is just about taking part. The parkruns for adults are on a Saturday and 5 kilometres. For juniors they are on a Sunday and 2 kilometres. If you register on the website you can print a barcode to take with you to record an official time.

A Day Out in Pettneu am Arlberg With a Baby (Austria)

Pettneu am Arlberg with a baby

A day out in Pettneu am Arlberg with a baby makes a nice alternative to St Anton. It may not be an obvious choice. Pettneu is a village around 6km from St Anton. It lies at the foot of the peak known as the Hohe Riffler, from whose summit you can enjoy breathtaking views all the way to the Allgäu or the Eastern Alps of Switzerland. In winter it is easily accessible on the free ski bus in around 8 minutes.

Things To Do In Zakynthos With A Baby

Here are some ideas of things to do in Zakynthos with a baby. And some things to do in Zakynthos that do not work quite so well with a baby. D was around 8 months old at the time. So pre-mobile which made life a bit easier.

#Take12Trips: The Museum in St Anton am Arlberg with a Toddler (Austria)

As part of the #take12trips challenge we are trying to visit some local attractions as well as visiting destinations further afield. To add to the challenge these need to be toddler friendly. For our first trip I headed to the Museum in St Anton am Arlberg with a toddler in tow. This is somewhere I had never visited in around 7 winters here, so it was about time.
